BCF was very lucky to be able to go along to yesterday’s Top Gear recording. Benedict Cumberbatch was appearing on the show in the ‘star in a reasonably priced car’ segment.
There will be a longer post (with photos) after Sunday’s ep has aired, but here’s a list of the topics that Benedict and Jeremy Clarkson discussed. I reckon half (or fewer) will make the cut so the rest we will cover after Sunday’s tx. Note that this is all from memory - all recording devices were strictly prohibited.

11. The lap itself (complete with BC doing impressions of course!)
Hopefully that will whet your appetite for Sunday. The one thing that I will mention here is that Jeremy Clarkson told Benedict that he had never known any other celebrity spend so much time out on the track and do so many practice laps. He said they usually come along, plug their thing, and then do a couple of circuits before going for it. Clarkson said it was most refreshing to have someone take it so seriously. Benedict seemed a little embarrassed, but said he wanted to make the most of it and was ‘on holiday’ so why not!Such a focused person.
